ELECTRIC SCISSOR PLATFORM

The scissor lift platform is a heavy mobile machine that allows working at a certain height to carry out a job. In its upper part it has a platform or basket on which the worker or workers are, along with the materials and tools, and is anchored to a chassis by means of an extendable scissor-shaped structure.

Its translation system allows movements to be carried out using the console available on the platform, without the operator having to get off it. In fact, they are the most popular equipment in the rental sector for working at height, as they are very efficient and safe.

Scissor platforms have a lifting system formed by a robust metal chassis that supports a metal structure mounted in the shape of a scissor, which allows it to ascend or descend, vertically, by pushing a hydraulic cylinder system.

At the top of this lifting system, a work platform is attached on which the operators and tools are located. And in the lower part of the machine chassis, they can incorporate anti-marking wheels and hydraulic stabilizers to level the machine and improve its stability and safety.

Scissor lifts have a self-propulsion system, and can be classified by the energy they use to move and the workplace in which they can operate.

Depending on the type of engine, there are three types:

Diesel Scissor Lifts

Self-propelled by combustion engine. Diesel scissor lifts can also be all-terrain scissors, which have four-wheel drive and adapt perfectly to all types of terrain.

Electric scissor lifts

Self-propelled by electric motor.

Hybrid Scissor Lifts

It combines the performance of diesel engines with the performance of electric motors. Hybrid scissor lifts can also be crawler scissors, the most versatile and compact variety on the market. Thanks to their caterpillar mechanism, they can work on inclined terrain and steep and irregular paths.

And they can also be classified by their lifting capacity, according to the working height reached, which usually ranges from 6.50 meters to a maximum height of 34 meters.
